"Angel Eyes" returned after the brief break in its schedule due to the mourning for the Sewol Ferry Tragedy drawing in more viewers. According to the TNmS Media Ratings, Angel Eyes' first two episodes took 19th place Nationwide. Episode three moved up to 12th Place Nationwide, but then the fourth episode went back down to 19th Place Nationwide. However, the past four episodes of the show showed a large jump in the ratings as Angel Eyes took 5th and 6th Place Nationwide. Though it is probably at least partially due to the smaller number of dramas being aired last week, the ratings increase proves that Angel Eyes just needed to find it's footing with viewers.

Melodramas such as this often take more time for audiences to become invested in the plot. This could be due to the often serious tone of melodramas which are seen as  something "heavy" to watch as compared to a "light" romantic comedy. However, it seems as if Angel Eyes has been successful in finding its way into the audience's hearts this past week.

Another aspect of the show that has been keeping everybody's attention is the comedy that is provided by Seungri and Kong Hyung Jin's characters. For example, Seungri's character, Teddy, throws random English phrases into conversation and Kong Hyun Jin's character, Woon Chan, caught Teddy weirdly dancing with a mannequin, both making viewers laugh!

Of course the main couple has been compelling viewers as well. Lee Sang Yoon and Gu Hye Sun transitioned wonderfully into their roles. With all of Dong Joo's secrets about his feelings having been revealed during the end of last week's episodes, it is certain that there will be more interesting drama coming soon!
