Gabe Newell is one of the most revered figures in the gaming industry. For a decade now, the Valve co-founder has been keeping the Half Life community waiting for Half Life 3 and this has resulted in a rising number of criticisms aimed at both Gabe and Valve.

The Motoring Crunch reports that Gabe Newell went public in a bid to clear some air and ease some tensions. In a guilt-free manner, the lad revealed that Half Life 3 isn't in the works. Gabe further added that Valve wishes to focus on other gaming titles in its inventory.

While this may sound disappointing, there is some positive to it as Gabe failed to deny the coming of Half Life 3. What is not created today might just come tomorrow. The creator of Half Life did quote, "...the key is to just continue to follow where the customers are leading."

Obviously, the customers want Half Life 3 and Gabe must realize this by now. As how the fans viewed it, Half Life 3's coming is inevitable. The only mystery is when will it come? Until more announcements are made, fans will just have to settle with the wait.
