Free! Anime New Season 2014: Soundtrack Opening And Ending Themes To Be Performed By Olcodex And Entire Cast!
There's a new reason to get hyped for the "Free!" anime new season this 2014 as the opening and ending themes for the anime are going to be performed by the cast themselves!
Singer and voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki's group OLCODEX officially announced via their website yesterday that they will provide the opening theme song for the upcoming season of anime series "Free! Iwatobi Swim Club" which is titled this season as "Free! Eternal Summer." The lyrics of the single were written by his fellow bandmate YORKE. while music composition and arrangement were done by Ta_2 and eba respectively.
Titled "Dried Up Youthful Fame," the single will be released on July 30 and it will be available in three versions: the limited first edition is priced at 1,300yen (US $13) and will include a music video in a DVD while both the standard and anime jacket edition will be priced at 1,200yen (US $12).
OLCODEX is no longer a new name in anime music. They also provided songs for series "Arata: The Legend," "Bakuman.," and "Kuroro no Basuke."
Meanwhile, it was confirmed by Japanese record label Lantis that the top 5 main cast of Free! anime series will sing for the ending theme of the newest season which will premiere in July. Also known as Style Five who also performed ending songs "Splash Free" and "Ever Blue" during the first season, the group consists of voice actors Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka Nanase), Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Makoto Tachibana), Mamoru Miyano (Rin Matsuoka), Tsubasa Yonaga (Nagisa Hazuki) and Daisuke Hirakawa (Rei Ryugazaki). Their debut single "Future Fish" will go on sale on August 6.
