Mary-Kate Olsen To Make Her Own Wedding Dress? Engaged Actress And Fashion Designer Wants To Build Fashion Shop In NY And LA!

Independent actress, businesswoman and fashion designer Mary-Kate Olsen got engaged last March to her boyfriend Olivier Sarkozy, who happened to be the half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Vogue magazine asked the petite actress - who along with her twin sister Ashley - are co-presidents of the company Dualstar - if she is going to make her own wedding dress soon. However, Mary-Kate dismissed the idea to the press and told them that the idea is still out of her mind yet and it will take her five or six years before deciding on making one, despite confirmed reports that she recently made a wedding dress for one of her friends.

Instead, Mary-Kate Olsen confirmed that she is excited about putting the first shop of their high-end fashion line The Row. According to her, "It was a toss-up between New York and LA, and when this space became available, we jumped on it. It used to be a hair salon and my sister and I used to come here, so we were very aware of the space."

She later added, "What's more important to talk about is that every step is really imperative to the brand and we don't like to do everything at once." The petite fashion designer also opened up to the press about desire to design men's footwear in 2015.
