Looks like Marvel is getting a new show as the Agent Carter TV series is on the works and Marvel unveils the show's official logo poster and plot details of the show. Can Agent Carter replicate the same success as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Marvel and ABC has announced last night that Agent Carter will make its way into the small screen, and Marvel fans are excited to see Captain America's ex-girlfriend Peggy Carter handle herself during his absence in the series. Marvel official release it's first logo poster of the show along with its synopsis.

"Marvel's Agent Carter," starring Captain America's Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life--Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," along with the short "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter."

The show stars Hayley Atwell as the titular character the show's pilot will be written by Captain America movie writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Rumor has it the show will function as "a bridge show" during next year's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hiatus. With Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. nearing its end this week, its safe to say that Clark Greeg and the rest of crew would get a well deserve rest, while Agent Carter takes the spotlight sometime in 2014-2015. Can Agent Carter gain the same amount of success as Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. or even surpass them in terms ratings and network impact? We'll just have to find more once ABC announce the show's air date and official trailer.

No official announcement has been made about the entire cast besides Atwell, but we will likely see some familiar faces such as Howard Stark, Colonel Chester Phillips, or the Howling Commandos.
