"Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan and "House" creator David Shore are set to debut a buddy cop TV series this fall as CBS announced the show pickup during its annual upfront presentation.

"Battle Creek" will star Josh Duhamel of the "Transformers" movie and Dean Winters of "Law & Order: SVU as two officers with vastly differing methods in trying to solve a crime, Mashable said.

John Duhamel will play special agent Milton Chamberlain while Dean Winters will play Russ Agnew and circumstances will force the two to work together when the FBI opens another field office in the town of "Battle Creek."

With the FBI office in town, the police department will get needed backup but will Russ Agnew accept the intrusion? Will the hardened cop take in a rookie special agent that Josh Duhamel plays?

With "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan and "House" creator David Shore leading the series, viewers can expect an intelligent and gritty show with a dose of humor and wit.

According to Zap2it, "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gillian has been trying to shop "Battle Creek" since a decade ago.

"At the time, he was coming off "The X-Files" and its spinoff "The Lone Gunmen" and was six years away from getting "Breaking Bad" on the air at AMC," the website said.

Later on, "House" creator David Shore came on board to collaborate on the project because of its contract with Sony Pictures TV, the show's producer. In the initial plans for the series, David Shore will become the showrunner and Vince Gilligan will reportedly helm the pilot episode this fall.

CBS introduced "Battle Creek" with a 13-episode commitment in the upfront presentation.

"Breaking Bad" won for Vince Gilligan an Emmy for best drama series. The show has become so successful that a "Breaking Bad" spinoff was created called "Better Call Saul" who will revolve on Bob Odenkirk's character.
