Canadian singer Alanis Morissette's single "You Oughta Know" debuted in 1995 and eventually gained the top rankings at leading music charts. But who really is the "guy" in Alanis Morissette's song "You Oughta Know?" was it really the Full House actor and ex-boyfriend Dave Coulier? After all he did tell the paparazzi back in 2008 that he was the "wrong guy" in Alanis Morissette's song "You Oughta Know!"

David Coulier, who also appears in the recently-concluded American TV series How I Met Your Mother, said in his recent interview with Buzzfeed that he finds this whole thing "really funny that it's become this urban legend, so many years after the fact." He and Alanis used to date for a brief time in the early 1990s.

However, he cleared the fact that Alanis Morissette's song "You Oughta Know" is definitely NOT about him, as the singer herself never stated who is the wrong guy featured in the 1995 single. Dave said in the interview, I asked Alanis, 'I'm getting calls by the media and they want to know who this guy is.' And she said, 'Well, you know it could be a bunch of people. But you can say whatever you want.'"

According to him, the only reason he said that the song is about him simply because back then he was always followed by the red carpet paparazzi and they always ask him about it.

And when he was asked if he ever sing the song in karaoke, Dave gave a huge no, because he doesn't think he could get that drunk to sing that!
