Agents Of Shield Season 2: Skye's Father Rumored To Be Karnak Or Maximus The Mad As Marvel Plans Inhumans In Phase 3!
A new rumor for Chloe Bennet's character Skye has surface and it may have something to do with her father in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2.
Audiences had a glimpse of Skye's father in the season 1 finale of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a man is isolated in a room as Raina approached him and told him about his daughter. The only clue we had was his blood covered hand holding the photo of his daughter hinting that Skye's father is a very dangerous individual.
According to reports from furuousfanboys.com, Skye's father is speculated to be Karnak or Maximus the Mad of the Inhuman Royal Family. Marvel Studios plans on introducing the Inhumans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but further details on whether they will show up on Phase 3 has not yet confirmed.
Breathecast.com reports that Chloe Bennet revealed several details about Skye in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2.
"Skye finds out a lot about her family coming up, or lack thereof. She doesn't know where she's from or if she's human, or alien, if she has powers. She has no idea, so we'll be seeing a lot of her finding that out."
For those who are not familiar with Karnak and Maximus the Mad, they are part of a super powered race called the Inhumans. The Inhumans are super powered beings that are the results of a secret experimentation conducted by the Kree during the prehistoric years of earth. The Kree abandoned them due to a dangerous prophecy that the Inhumans will become potential threats to the Kree Empire. They went on to form a society of their own, which thrived in seclusion from the rest of humanity and developed advanced technology. Experiments with the mutagenic Terrigen Mist (a process known as Terrigenesis) gave them various powers, but caused lasting genetic damage and deformities that led to a long-term selective breeding program in an attempt to mitigate the effects of these mutations.
Karnak is a member of the Inhuman Royal Family and his abilities include extrasensory awareness to perceive stress points, fracture planes, or weaknesses in objects or persons. He has complete voluntary control of most of his autonomic bodily functions. All striking surfaces of his body are extremely toughened. He is capable of shattering substances up to and including mild steel and rendering superhuman opponents unconscious by striking them. He is also an expert martial artist.
As for Maximus the Mad, he is the younger brother of Black Bolt leader of the Inhumans and has mind control powers. He also suffers from schizophrenia, and has antisocial tendencies. Maximus went on to become a villain and fought against the Inhuman Royal family for control of Attilan. He would use the Inhumans to wage war upon mankind, and rule them as the dominant species.
