The Batman vs Superman official title reveal comes with a bang as not only did the Man of Steel 2 title has been revealed as "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice", it seems that Adrien Brody is rumored to be in talks of playing Batman's arch nemesis, The Joker!

In an interview with Metro UK, the Oscar winning actor mentions that he'd like to find his way into one of Zack Snyder's new superhero films and mentioned specifically the role of a villain.

Per Metro UK:

'I would do it if I feel I can contribute something valuable and that the role would be interesting to me because they're long journeys," Brody said. "To me, the villains are way fun! But they don't offer me those roles. If there is an opportunity to do something like that and play a comic book hero or villain, that's not something I'm fundamentally opposed to.'

This has many people connection the dots to a 2007 and later a 2008 report that Brody was up or the role of The Joker. Before Christopher Nolan cast Heath Ledger in the role that would eventually get him a posthumous Oscar win, Brody was considered for the role but lost out. Following the untimely death of Heath Ledger in 2008, Brody's name again surfaced as a possible replacement for The Joker but the character was ultimately left out of The Dark Knight Rises.

According to the Batman Archives, Adrien Brody is rumored to be in talks to play the Joker in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice cinematographer Larry Fong tweeted the image below, which has a face-down playing card wedged into concrete. Either it's a cruel trick to get conversation going, or Batman's archnemesis, The Joker could be making an appearance in the new film, or at least hinted at for the Justice League feature.

What are the odds that the "Clown Prince of Crime" makes his way into Batman vs. Superman? If he appears, it won't be in full. They may have a scene at Arkham Asylum where his laugh echoes through the building, or that playing card will be thrown at the end of the film, setting him up for a major role in Justice League.

There has been some rumors that Mark Hamill has been in talks to appear on Batman Vs Superman as Joker, but with him being involved in Star Wars Episode 7 is not likely that he would appear on Batman vs Superman.

Given the high class, Oscar-worthy cast tat Snyder has put together that includes the likes of Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg and Holly Hunter, it's easy to see Brody working his way into this new cast.
