In recent news, Lana Del Rey reportedly wishes she was already dead.
When talking with The Guardian UK about unforgettable musicians like Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain who died when they were 27, Lana said, "I wish I was dead already."
After the interviewer naturally said not to say such a thing, she continued with, "But I do… That’s just how I feel. If it wasn’t that way, then I wouldn’t say it.”
According to Fox News , Lana missed out on an opportunity to work with Lou Reed due to his recent death. She described flying to New York to meet him.
“I took the red eye,” she recalled, “Touched down at 7am and two minutes later he’d died.”
Lana wrote the song "Brooklyn Baby" in loving memory of Reed.
Lana also touched on reasons why she isn't as mainstream as entertainers like the scandalous Miley Cyrus.
"Well, maybe those people are true provocateurs," she said. "But I'm really not and never have been. I don't think there's any shock value in my stuff – well, maybe the odd disconcerting lyric – but I think other people probably deserve the criticism, because they're eliciting it."
Next Tuesday Lana's new album "Ultra Violence" will be released.
