Actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun's contract to film a mineral water commercial in China became an issue in Korea. Yesterday, actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun were selected to model the Chinese Hung Dao Group's mineral water. The Hung Dao group is a well known realty group in China. It started investing in mineral water business last year, and has been putting top stars such as Fan Bing Bing to model for brand marketing. This year, Korean Hallyu stars actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun joined the marketing. Actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun signed the contract to model the second mineral water by the Hung Dao group. Jun Ji Hyun filmed her part of the commercial in China, and Kim Soo Hyun filmed in Korea. What became the issue is how the origin of water was marked on the water bottle. In Korea, Baekdu Mountain refers to the mountain in North Korea. In China, the same mountain is called Changbai Mountain. It spurred great controversy in Korea whether Korean stars should film a commercial that promotes the Chinese word for Baekdu Mountain. In related news, actress Jun Ji Hyun and actor Kim Soo Hyun had been some of the top models for many Chinese marketing and advertisement agencies after the success of the SBS drama "You Who Came From The Stars."
