Lana del Rey's glamorizing death comments were slammed by Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean Cobain who said that the "death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize."

In an interview with The Guardian, Lana del Rey's glamorizing death comments were put on a spotlight as she mentioned her idols Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse and finally, capping it with a statement, "I wish I was dead already."

That didn't sit well with Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean Cobain who tweeted:

"The death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize. I'll never know my father because he died young, and it becomes a desirable feat because people like you think it's 'cool,' " she continued, before adding, "Well, it's f-----g not. Embrace life, because you only get one life. The people you mentioned wasted that life. Don't be one of those people. You're too talented to waste it away."

Lana del Rey's glamorizing death comments was trending across the Internet but the "Young and Beautiful" singer is now distancing himself from the interview she made with The Guardian,  and even blaming the journalist Tim Jonze for baiting her into making the statement.

In a series of tweets, now deleted, Lana del Rey wrote: "I regret trusting the Guardian. I didn't want to do an interview but the journalist was persistent."

She said the journalist was the "boring one" who was "looking for something interesting to write about. His leading questions about death and persona were calculated."

Lana del Rey then responded directly to Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean Cobain in a tweet in which she wrote: "It's all good. He was asking me a lot about your dad. I said I liked him because he was talented, not because he died young. The other half of what I said wasn't really related to the people he mentioned. I don't find that part of music glam either."
