Which gadget is the ideal purchase for consumers? We pit the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phablet against the Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone to see which is better.

In terms of design and display the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED touch screen which has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Its dimensions are: 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4 mm and weighs 183 g.

Meanwhile, the Nokia Lumia 1020 has a smaller AMOLED touch screen that measures 4.5 inches and has a slightly superior resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. It dimensions are: 130.4 x 71.4 x 10.4 mm and weighs 158 g.
