Wolverine 3 News: Deadpool And Sabretooth To Join The Third Spin Off Rumored! Will Ryan Reynolds And Liev Schreiber Reprise There Roles As The X-Men Villains?
New updates for the third Wolverine spin off have been revealed.
Two of Logan's adversaries, Deadpool and Sabretooth will make a possible comeback in the Wolverine 3 movie.
According to reports from ComicBookMovie.com, the producers of the movie wanted Sabretooth back in the third spin off along with four suggested characters are Daken, Cyber, and Omega Red.
There have been rumors that Liev Schreiber is in talks of reprising his character Sabretooth in Wolverine 3. So far, there have been no confirmation as of yet regarding Schreiber's participation in the project.
Schreiber played Sabretooth/Victor Creed in the first Wolverine movie back in 2009, and there have been several suggestions in the development of Wolverine 3 as they hinted to have an Old-Man Logan style storyline.
"Well, of course we're looking at Old Man Logan, because that may be the only option left at this point! [laughs] We are looking at a lot of different storylines. No one has jumped out. You can tell from my answer that we're still working it out. I'm working with Jim Mangold, which is exciting. Jim came on board The Wolverine after Darren [Aronofsky] left, so he inherited it. And of all the things that Jim can do, one of the great things he does is develop scripts. I'm excited to see what we can come up with, but I haven't signed on signed on. I'm genuinely at that point where unless it's better than the last one I'm not going to do it."
As for Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds has been rumored to return as "The Merc with the Mouth" in the X-Men movie franchise, not to mention having a spin off movie for the character. Fox producer Lauren Shuler-Donner mentioned before that they are planning to make a "Deadpool movie" but nothing has been confirmed.
However, an allege Deadpool movie teaser has been rumored to appear in this years San Diego Comic Con event.
KpopStarz reports of brief description regarding the said teaser.
"The Deadpool movie teaser is going to be shown at the San Diego Comic Con 2014!
According to the report of the Comic Central City, Marvel Comics and 20th Century Fox are going to put on a good panel for the fans by showing the Deadpool movie teaser trailer during the San Diego Comic Con 2014."
There are also been reports that NeoGAF and Reddit users claimed that the Deadpool movie trailer has leaked online. After all, it was them who first posted the Flash and Constantine TV series pilot episodes, so its only a matter of time that comic book and movie fans will get to see the teaser first online before it is shown in San Diego Comic Con.
Hugh Jackman once expressed his desire for his character Wolverine to face Deadpool again in the big screen.
"We sort of took a pretty strong choice on Deadpool, where we kind of stitched him up. And I love the character of Deadpool and I think that the sort of badass, fast-talking, funny, annoying Deadpool vs Wolverine would still be cool. We've sort of done it, but I think we could have done that much better."
