Ed Sheeran's girlfriend, Athina Andrelos, shared a photo of herself and the British songwriter all loved up during their Ibiza vacation last week. This news sent Sheerios into a frenzy, and most especially the fans who were wishing for Sheeran and Taylor Swift to date each other.

According to Cambio, Swift also felt slighted by her BFF's upgrade in the romance department. A source revealed that the country singer "can't stand the fact that he's fallen for someone."

The source continued, "Ed's been like her boyfriend substitute for the past 18 months, and suddenly he's not available any more,"

In a past interview with US Weekly, the 'Lego House' hitmaker revealed that his new flame already met his American best friend and the two women really hit it off.

"We went for dinner in London," Sheeran shared about Swift's meeting with his girlfriend. "She likes her."

After six months of Ed Sheeran's girlfriend being in the picture though, Swift seems to have grown irritated at the divided attention she's been getting from her 'Everything Has Changed' collaborator.

"But now Ed and Athina are getting more serious, she's turned into a green eyed monster," the source continued to spill, "Ed was always available to call 24/7, so if Taylor wanted to call him at 3am it wasn't a problem but now it's suddenly awkward."

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer reportedly has been texting the 'Sing' composer about 20 times a day.

The same source also said that Sheeran sat Swift down and talked to her about the situation. She has, in fact, become a very good friend he respects and jeopardizing their friendship would hurt him as well as her.

Meanwhile, another photo circulated social media just a few days after Ed Sheeran's girlfriend posted the PDA-filled Instagram picture. The snap has Sheeran and Andrelos wearing the same swimwear as the in Andrelo's post, holding hands as they jumped off a yacht together.
