'Wreck It Ralph 2' Cast, Plot And Release Date Rumors: Filming Starts Early January? Sequel To Feature More Video Game Stars, Different Versions Of Ralph

Fans have been speculating the cast, plot and release date of "Wreck-It Ralph 2" despite Disney keeping mum about the sequel.

However, a few hints have already been dropped that a new movie is definitely happening.

Screen Rant reported that Director Rich Moore and the studio who created the animation have already begun tossing around ideas for the second movie just after "Wreck-It Ralph" debuted on the big screen in 2012.

In another interview with Moviehole, John C. Reilly (who voices Ralph) and Sarah Silverman (who voices Vanellope von Schweetz) jokingly mentioned about doing a sequel.

"They wouldn't make [all that] merchandise, if [Disney] didn't have plans for other [Wreck-it Ralph] stories," Reilly jokingly shared.

While Moore had this to say:

"At dinner last night we were already talking about [a 'Wreck-It Ralph' sequel]. So we're talking 'what could do they do? What kind of things could happen? Who could be in it?'"

Of course fans are lobbying for their favorite Mario to be included in the next movie. Just like how Sonic the Hedgehog, Zangief and Bowser made it to first film, fans are already expecting Mario to play a major (or even a cameo) role in "Wreck-It Ralph 2."

And this certainly has been considered by Moore. In his Moviehole interview, Moore mentioned that they weren't able to include the video game superstar in "Wreck-It Ralph" because he "couldn't find anywhere for him to go." This was contrary to the popular belief that Nintendo refused them the rights to use the character.

New reports have also mentioned that a possible plot involving Ralph meeting different versions of himself is explored. The idea came from the Mario's multiple video game versions.

Until now there has been no official confirmation about the "Wreck-It Ralph 2" release date, but it sure looks like that the sequel would definitely be a go. Fans are speculating a 2015 release date, but it would be impossible given there has been no news of filming yet.
