Daniel Radcliffe and girlfriend Erin Darke met on the set of the Allen Ginsberg biography film "Kill Your Darlings" last year. They've been best friends-and lovers-ever since.

"I'm going out with my best friend at the moment," the British star previously told People in an interview. "And that's, I think, the way it should be."

Just how did Radcliffe and Darke's romance start in the first place?

The world star revealed that they "just got on immediately."

"It was one of those instant things where you're like, 'Oh, I really like this person,'" Radcliffe told Parade in a recent interview. "You just have a connection with somebody, and then suddenly it's incredibly easy to talk to them. It was one of those sort of situations."

The 'What If' star also revealed that the "ease in conversation" he had with Darke was one of the things that he liked in the relationship.

"I'm not a very chilled-out person a lot of the time. But there's a relaxed quality to our conversation," Radcliffe explained.

He couldn't help but gush as well, sharing that there's "no effort" in his connection with Darke.

He added, "It's totally flowing. It's a wonderful thing."

Furthermore, it looks like being Daniel Radcliffe's girlfriend is a sweet thing.

Having grown up in a household with parents that are lovers and best friends at the same time, the former 'Harry Potter' child star has very high expectations and ideals when it comes to love.

"My mom and dad were best friends before they started dating, and now they've been married for 30-something years," the 25-year-old actor told People in a previous interview.

Although he thinks that "love is generally difficult to achieve," the world star doesn't make his high expectations for it a secret.

He previously told People, "If you can get to a point where you're dating or married to somebody you consider your best friend, that's what will make it work."
