"How To Train Your Dragon 3" release date has been pushed to June 9, 2017, according to CinemaBlend. The original date was June 17, 2016.

What would be the cause of changing the release date of the 3D animated fantasy movie?

Some reports said that the original date of How To Train Your Dragon 3 release coincides with Shane Black-directed movie, with Russell Crowe titled "The Nice Guys" and Pixar's "Finding Dory."

The second sequel of the movie which has been released this year (June 13, 2014 in USA) fell in second standing in US box office, topped by "22 Jump Street". With this result, it is considered as disappointment, said by the source.
