‘Innocent Yoona’ Vs. ‘Chic Yuri’
Two members in worldwide renowned girl group Girls' Generation are working as actresses in dramas that have concurrent airing times. KBS2' 'Love Rain' Yoona and SBS' 'Fashion King' Yuri will undergo a showdown starting on the 26th.
In 'Love Rain,' Yoona plays two characters: an innocent, campus goddess Kim Yoon Hee in the '70s and the bright, sweet graduate student Jung Ha Na in 2012.
'Fashion King' is Yuri's first acting job and plays fashion designer Choi An Na.
On the 20th, 'Fashion King' aired its second episode, where An Na's ex-boyfriend Jang Jae Hyuk (played by Lee Jae Hoon) comes to find her preparing for a fashion show. In the episode, Yuri naturally portrays the character well as a chic and cool girl. Viewers are waiting for the next episode to air on the 26th when the kiss scene between Yuri and Lee Jae Hoon is shown.
Even though the other members of the girl group are making a contest out of the situation, the two girls have stated that they wish both dramas will do well.
Yoona has stated that she and Yuri support each other and have promised to keep up with the other's drama.
Yuri has also stated that Yoona has given her advice on acting and that even though the girls will have to switch channels to watch both dramas, they are happy as long as they are watching a fellow member.
