Ed Sheeran Girlfriend: No More Hard Feelings With Niall Horan? Talks About Confronting Mate Who Stole Ex

It looks like Ed Sheeran's girlfriend Athina Andrelos has been a huge help for him to move on from the scars of his past.

Before a shirtless Ed Sheeran was seen hugging Andrelos this summer, the 'Lego House' hitmaker was allegedly still heartbroken over ex-girlfriend Ellie Goulding's cheating.

Fans' surprise at their short-lived tryst last year only amplified when Sheeran released the Taylor Swift-like song 'Don't' along with his other tunes from latest album, 'X.'

With the 'Sing' crooner's confirmation that everything in the song was inspired by true events, Sheerios quickly jumped to the conclusion that the cheating ex was Ellie Goulding and the guy she cheated with was One Direction's Niall Horan.

Earlier this month, Howard Stern tried to find out whether the rumors of Ed Sheeran's girlfriend being stolen by Horan were true or not.

When asked point blank if the guy in the song was "a dude from One Direction," Sheeran didn't deny or confirm anything.

"Well, it depends which one you're talking about," the acoustic singer joked instead.

He did add later on, "The papers say a lot of things. I have kept my mouth shut about everything." He admitted that he didn't come out of the situation "upset" but was "pissed off" instead.

"I just thought it was a bit disrespectful," he continued. He also shared that he already has confronted this 'mate.'

"It's a difficult conversation to have," Sheeran revealed to Stern. "He was my mate, so I was just a bit like, 'Um, not cool."

The rumors were further enflamed when a photo of Sheeran and Horan at the iHeartradio after party was released. The pair was photographed looking quite close, with Sheeran planting a big kiss on the Irish lad's cheek.

Whether the rumors that Horan stole Ed Sheeran's girlfriend in the past are true or not, they seemed to have settled things between them already.

Sheeran has already moved on to his very pretty girlfriend and Ellie Goulding looks contented with her new squeeze, Dougie Poynter, as well.
