Hilary Duff's new album has been delayed for a "few more months," as announced by the 'All About You' singer herself on Twitter early in September. The yet to be named album was supposed to hit record stores this fall.
"Guys hate to break this news but the album won't be out in October... You will have to wait a few more months. Love all the excitement tho," Duff told her more than four million followers in early September.
Fans have been waiting seven years for this album. What's another couple of months more?
She previously said that fans of her Disney Channel show, 'Lizzie Maguire,' have remained loyal throughout the years. They grew up as she did and have shown so much support for her music and acting career.
To tide fans over, Duff released two singles. 'Chasing The Sun,' which was co-produced by Toby Gad, Colbie Caillat and Jason Reeves, is a catchy, summer song with an equally bright and quirky video.
'All About You,' on the other hand, has a country twang to it. The video and choreography also brought out a sexier side of the 27-year-old. Fox News recently reported that the former child star wanted to include a bit of her roots into the album.
"The new record is definitely pop, I would want someone to think 'Oh, that's Hilary,'" she told Fox411 during the iHeartRadio music festival in Los Angeles. "It has a little bit of folk threaded through it which is cool for me because I'm a Texas girl."
These two songs showcase a more mature and personal side of the singer, as will the rest of Hilary Duff's new album.
She has promised fans that her new songs will be upbeat and "very positive." The songs to be featured on the album will talk mainly about her life and experiences.
Another thing to look forward to is the collab song that she worked on with British acoustic star Ed Sheeran!
She even visited the studio at midnight just to be able to record with the very busy hitmaker.
Do you think Hilary Duff's new album will be worth seven years of waiting?
