It's the 1st of October already, things are really beginning to get exciting. October is the month of the awards contenders and rare blockbusters. Here are the four movies that moviegoers should watch:

Annabelle (Release Date: October 3rd)

Recently, horror has been struggling, there is still a premise that in October that this genre will pick up, of course, because of Halloween. Annabelle is a spin off from The Conjuring, 2013's horror blockbuster.

Gone Girl (Release Date: October 3rd)

The film is directed by David Fincher, which is adapted from the best-selling crime novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which a major A-lister in the lead role. Though, the film didn't turn out as what it is expected to be. Fincher is behind the camera, Ben Affleck has a lead role in this film, Gillian Flynn has the viewer intrigued, as she wrote the screenplay herself, and being the author, and she has the control to add some tweaks in the elements to make it suitable for a film.

Dracula Untold (Release Date: October 10th)

Dracula's story has been told over and over again, so it is a bold statement if the film is titled as Dracula Untold. He's been a villain, the hero, cartoon character, side character and every perspective has been quite different from each other. The film searches to shed light to Dracula's origin in a new perspective, and to finally jumpstart a film series.

Book of Life (Release Date: October 17th)

This film is the next best thing from Director Jorge Gutierrez and Guillermo Del Toro, the Book of Life is about a Latin Folklore with a creative art style. The story is about Manolo, who was killed and should journey by the realm of the living so he could be with his Maria once again.

This month will be a little fruitful, because of the intriguing film releases. So take your pick.
