The police misfits gelled together to deliver laughs in droves for this "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 review for episode 1 entitled "Undercover."

AV Club shared that the episode began as Peralta's work with the mob was coming to an end. His situation with the mob was favorable because they knew him to be a once-unscrupulous cop whom they gladly welcomed to their group.

He appeared to had some fun time with the mob. With all the drinking, dancing and laughter, the site noted that it was hard not to think that Peralta was having a good time for real, even if he was just working undercover.

He was so good at what he did that the mob found no reason to suspect him. They played along with his plans to the point that they gave him their kiss of approval - a sign that they have embraced him as one of them - that became their downfall. Thus, Peralta's undercover operation ended with his capturing 15 of the top honchos.

Unfortunately, one of them escaped. Will that escaped mobster return for revenge in the upcoming episodes? "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 review did not delve into details as of yet. What AV Club focused on, however, was Peralta's learning the hard way about the importance of keeping everything around him under control.

Grantland commended the show for this pilot episode, citing it as a strong debut. They went on to add that it could herald great things to come, as it boosts the image of the sitcom. They commented that like most new comedy shows; its beginning was far from perfect.

They pointed out some of the strong points of the sitcom. Among them was making a tandem out of their extreme-personality characters Gina (Chelsea Peretti) and Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio). They also included the good harmony between the characters of Santiago, Diaz and Terry, which resulted to several unforgettably funny scenarios.

With "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 review for episode 1 looking anything but inauspicious, the show seems to have a promising future to look forward to. This translates to more laughs ahead for their avid viewers.
