'Lights and Shadows' Decline in Ratings

MBC Monday/Tuesday drama 'Lights and Shadows' ratings had declined again.

On June 19th, according to rating company AGBNilson Media Research episode 59 that aired on the 18th rated at 18.9%. It was 0.2% lower than episode 58(19.1%) that aired on the 12th.

From March 19th - June 5th for consecutive 24 weeks, 'Lights and Shadows' hit the ratings at 20% solidifying its place as top rated drama series for Monday/Tuesday.

But episode 57 that aired on June 11th rated at 18.7%. At 25 weeks the dramas ratings has fallen to the 10% range and now after three consecutive weeks the ratings has stayed in the 10% range.

On the other hand, the dramas that air the same time such as SBS 'The Chaser' rated 11.5% while KBS2TV 'Big' rated 8%. 

In 'Lights and Shadows' the process of Kang Ki Tae's(Ahn Jae Wook) plot for revenge against Jang Chul Hwan(Jun Kwang Ryul) has made the viewers frustrated due to the lagging development of the plot. Because the plot heavily concentrates on the Ki Tae's crisis and him overcoming the crisis, the viewers have become bored with the plot. As it reaches near the end of it's series 'Lights and Shadows' has it's ratings dropping.
