Choi Ji Woo To Appear in Chinese Drama ‘City Lovers’
Korean Wave star Choi Ji Woo will make her Chinese drama return after nine years through 'City Lovers.'
According to a representative of Choi Ji Woo's agency on the 27th, "For the while, Choi Ji Woo has received many offers to appear in Chinese-speaking dramas, and finally confirmed to appear in 'City Lovers.' She will depart at the beginning of July and film for three months in Beijing."
Choi Ji Woo will be making her comeback to China after nine years since '101st Proposal' in 2003. Choi Ji Woo appeared in the drama alongside Taiwanese actor Sun Xing. At the time, '101st Proposal' was broadcasted on thirty channels including Beijing TV.
'City Lovers' is the love story between a female CEO of an event company and a new male recruit.
Choi Ji Woo appeared in 2009 SBS drama 'Star's Love' with Yoo Ji Tae, and will now greet Chinese fans with 'City Lovers.' Coincidentally, 'Star's Love' is currently airing in China's CCTV.
Choi Ji Woo revealed, "There've been many requests from fans to appear in a Chinese drama and I haven't been able to due to circumstances, but with this opportunity, I hope to show a new image."
