Many people are wondering if there will be "Iron Man 4" and the best person to answer this is none other than the lead star himself, Robert Downey Jr. During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the audience got excited when he confirmed that he is in negotiations to do another sequel.

The talk show host asked him if there will be "Iron Man 4" and he tried to answer it indirectly. The 49-year old actor said, "I know there's going to be a bunch more Marvel movies and they have big ideas on how to do it best." He added, "And you know we're in the middle of negotiations (blah, blah, blah)."

When Ellen asked if it is a "yes", Robert Downey Jr. was forced to finally reveal the truth and said: "Ok, yes!". The audience cheered when they heard the good news so we can now expect to see "Iron Man 4" in the future.

In a separate interview with David Letterman, Robert Downey Jr. seemed to have turned down the offer to appear in the fourth installment. It took the host a lot of convincing before he can finally get details from the actor that plays Tony Stark.

He said, "There's no plans for an Iron Man 4". Letterman joked about it by saying, "They don't want another couple of billion dollars?" The star of "Avengers 2" also revealed, "There's no script for Iron Man 4, but they do have a plan and I think they're going to announce it. You know, they [Marvel] are very secretive about it."

David Letterman sympathized with Robert Downey Jr. and said, "I'm so sorry to hear about Iron Man...they just couldn't get that together, you said?" The actor agreed with him and said, "There'll be other stuff." So the rumors about recasting could be true.

The host finally asked him, "Are you going to make another one of those Iron Man movies?" The Hollywood star paused for a long time before he finally revealed, "Just between us, no, but I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel...and there's going to be plenty of fun stuff to happen."

What do you think of the latest "Iron Man 4" news? Do you think Marvel Pictures will replace Robert Downey Jr.?
