Kickstarter's Kibosh funding introduced during the week of October 13, garnered huge success, according to a report in Tech News World.

In a span of only a few days, Kickstarter's Kibosh Funding has earned a total funding amount of $600,000.

The Kickstarter's Kibosh funding originally planned to raise only $7500 in funds for an initial investment of $45 for the gadget, as reported by Tech News World.

On Thursday last week, though, there were people who questioned the uniqueness of Kickstarter's components and the Anonabox. The security features of the Anonabox were also questioned, according to Tech News World.

Justin Kazmark, a representative for Kickstarter, said that the pledged funds were returned to users. Kazmark didn't elaborate on the reasons for the cancellation of funds pledged.

He allegedly told Tech News World, though:

"We typically don't comment on specific moderator actions, but I can point you to our FAQ on why projects would be suspended."

Tech News World also reported that Kickstarter released a statement, saying:

"a review of the project uncovered evidence that it broke Kickstarter's rules."

According to Tech News World, these rules claim that:

"prohibition of falsely claiming to have made items yourself, and failing to disclose relevant facts about the project or its creator."

Tim Erlin, an IT security strategist from Tripwire said in an interview with Tech News World:

"While there's little doubt that Kickstarter made the right decision with regard to this project, it's also clear that there's demand for the capability and willingness to fund it,"

"Kickstarter's move protects its platform and brand, but it also runs the risk of discouraging other would-be-entrepreneurs from taking the leap into what appears to be a good market."
