The fantasy drama “Mr. Baek” premiered this week and is a delightful addition to the November lineup.

“Mr. Baek” stars actor Shin Ha Kyun in the dual roles of Choi Go Bong and Choi Shin Hyung. Shin Ha Kyun has received critical acclaim for his roles in films such as Park Chan Wook’s “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” and “Joint Security Area.”

Here is a glimpse at ‘Mr. Baek’ through the series trailer.

“Mr. Baek” opens with Choi Go Bong, a disgruntled and driven hotelier, facing the half-hearted birthday events organized by his family. Choi Go Bong is in his seventies and is incredibly successful, but has not truly experienced love.

MBLAQ member Lee Joon portrays Choi Dae Ha, the detestable sole heir to Go Bong’s fortune. Dae Ha makes his mark by shirking responsibility and creating scandals wherever he goes. He is flamboyant in his flaunting of money and is not appreciative of the hard work that led to his father’s success. Lee Joon’s strong acting provides a reason for K-Pop fans to watch “Mr. Baek.”

“Fated to Love You” star Jang Na Ra returns to K-Drama as Eun Ha Soo. Ha Soo is a likable and scrappy girl who is unemployed but maintains a hopeful spirit. She encounters Go Bong during an event in which volunteers help seniors make kimchi. Go Bong is mistaken for one of the residents of the senior village and antics ensue. While he is initially brisk towards Ha Soo, Go Bong is moved by her compassion.

In true K-Drama fashion, the worlds of Ha Soo, Go Bong, and Dae Ha collide at the hotel owned by Go Bong. Initially, Ha Soo is mistaken as a promiscuous, gold digging new hire by Go Bong.
Following a lavish birthday, Go Bong and Ha Soo encounter a supernatural experience which changes the course of the drama.

“Mr. Baek” is exclusively available with English subtitles on DramaFever.
