‘Ghost’ Drops in Viewer Ratings, Due to Postponement?’
'Ghost,' which had been postponed due to the airing of the 2012 London Olympics, aired its 19th episode on the 8th of August and achieved a viewer rating of 12.9% according to AGB Neilson Media, which is 2.4% lower than the 18th episode that was aired on the 27th of July and had achieved a viewer rating of 15.3%.
The cause of the drop might have been that there were only 2 episodes of the drama left but it was interrupted by the airing of the Olympics, stopping the flow of the drama and scattering the viewers.
However, KBS drama 'Bridal Mask,' which aired at the same time slot as 'Ghost,' achieved a viewer rating of 18.3%, which was the high viewer rating it had achieved so far. On this day, the special broadcast of 'Arang and the Magistrate,' which is to air its first episode on the 15th, was also airing.
On the other hand, in the drama 'Ghost,' "phantom" Jo Hyun Min's (played by Um Ki Joon) irregularity was found out, causing much curiosity amongst viewers as to how the drama will end. The last episode will be airing on the 9th of August.
