China's reaction to Daniel Henney's new film 'Shanghai Calling' is becoming a hot issue.

After watching film 'Shanghai Calling,' the Chinese media and power bloggers dubbed Daniel Henney an 'actor who does not fade' as well as 'flawless, charming man.'

In particular, Daniel Henney's natural comic acting is receiving much praise. Daniel Henney, who possesses a straight and relaxed image, surprised audiences with his goofiness and sly expressions when not understanding a situation. Through this film, Daniel Henney was also awarded 'Best Actor' at the Newport Beach International Film Festival and Shanghai International Film Festival as well, receiving recognition as an actor.

Along with its release, film 'Shanghai Calling' received a rating of 7.5 from China's film site Mtime. Compared to other Hollywood films currently released in China, it received a significantly high score.

In addition to Daniel Henney's superb acting, the film's emphasis on cultural details also received favorable criticism. In the film, Daniel Henney, who seems as if he could speak Chinese, cannot speak any Chinese nor does he know anything about Chinese culture. In contrast, Eliza Coupe, who seems as if she does not know any Chinese, shocks audiences with her impressive Chinese speaking skills.
