Obama Divorce Rumors: 'Senseless Gossip Though Living In The White House Can Be Stressful'
According to various tabloid reports, rumors about President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's separation, fights, arguments and other halabaloo have intensified amid the midterm election year.
The Globe carried a prominent art article that said "Obama Sham Marriage: It's Over".
"Back in 2010, the National Enquirer spread rumors that Michelle Obama threatened to leave her husband if he made the decision to run for a second term. There was obviously no truth to that rumor because Obama ran, was re-elected and the couple celebrated 22 years of marriage in October - making it just about as far-fetched as the current divorce rumor spread by The Globe," shares the Examiner.
In 2012, Edward Klein's wrote Barack and Michelle's divorce was looming backed by rumors on social media. Klein wrote in the unauthorized biography, "The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House," that Michelle "had divorce papers drawn up in 2000 after a 200 interview research had been done.
At the time, Klein's book was dismissed as gossip by the White House spokesperson and readers continued to spread what was in the books in an election year. And the Obama Divorce Rumors that are ongoing in 2014 could also be a tactic to force the Democrats out of office at the expense of President Obama's reputation.
But clearly visible faux pas have been made by Barrack Obama on the political stage. Perhaps, the most recent visible dissent by Michelle Obama was at the 'not-so-long-ago Nelson Mendela Funeeral in South Africa when Obama insisted on a selfie with Denmark's PM.
The Examiner concluded from the Obama Divorce Rumors and reports, "None of the Obama divorce rumors, including the latest one in The Globe, seem to have any credible information about the marital status of the President and his wife and should be filed under "senseless gossip." While there is no doubt that life in the White House can be stressful, Barack and Michelle's 22-year marriage seems to be going strong."
