Ghostface of the "Scream" TV series on MTV is about to get a remarkable image change: He would be donning a new mask. According to speculations, the material to be used would make the big difference. Rumors say that it would be made of flesh.

In an attempt to give a fresh take on the story of the iconic masked killer for the little screen, the creators have resorted to making a new version of his face gear, reported Bloody Disguting.

Their reason for the change: to rise above expectations while creating a totally new viewing experience, EW shared, per Bloody Disgusting. Thus, in creating the new mask, which is especially intended for the "Scream" TV series on MTV, they saw to it that it would be a darker version of the Edvard Munch-inspired disguise.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the mask would be made of organic materials, and rumors say that this means it would be created out of flesh (prosthetic flesh, perhaps?). As to what type of flesh, whether prosthetics or other materials, no details were revealed. The show's creators has made no revelations or confirmations about it because TPTB is still busy developing it.

Mina Lefevre, MTV's senior vice president and scripted development chief, shared her thoughts on the matter with EW. She said:

"It's a darker, almost more grounded, evolved version of the mask. It's something we're constantly talking about. How did that mask become that mask? What's its purpose? How did it evolve? If the Scream movie mask was the more plastic version, for a lack of a better description, this one is a more organic looking and frankly darker version."

And with that, viewers would only have to wait until 2015 to finally get a glimpse of Ghostface's new mask on "Scream" TV series on MTV.
