Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs. LG G3: The battle of the phablets is not over yet. Each time one device is released, users expect it to be superior than the other ones that came out before it. Can this be true for Note 4, which comes later than LG G3? Here's a head-to-head comparison.

Note 4 looks more like a phablet than LG G3 because it is bigger. The former measures 154 x 79 x 8.5 mm while the latter measures 146 x 75 x 8.9 mm. But if you are concerned with placing your phone inside your pocket easily or holding it with one hand comfortably, you may set your eyes on LG G3, not only because it is smaller but also because it weighs 15 percent lighter (150g vs. 176g). Aside from this, it has a curve on the back, making it easier to grip.

LG G3 looks first-rate regardless of its plastic build because it appears to be covered in brushed aluminum. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 4 sports genuine metal frame thereby looking first-class (particularly in the eyes of the buyers) and making the device easy to hold. It bears removable leather-like cover similar to that of Note 3 but users will no longer see the stitching texture at the ends.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs. LG G3: Let's compare more of the specs.

Initially, LG G3 came out with Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Instead of updating to Android 4.4.4 KitKat, LG announced that it will go straight to the much-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop. This is good news then for existing LG G3 owners and for those who are considering of buying one.

The same Android 5.0 Lollipop update is reported for s5, s4, Note 3, and Note 2. There's no definite news yet for Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which currently runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

In terms of camera quality, Note 4 is superior with its 16 megapixels, compared to LG G3's 13 megapixels. Both phones have the same specs for camcorder so there's no comparison - 840x2160 (4K) (30 fps), 1920x1080 (1080p HD) (60 fps).

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is powered by Exynos Octa 7, 8-core, clocked at 1900 MHz. G3's system chip is Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 8974-AC, quad core clocked at 2500 MHz.
