The Kdramastars poll has officially started. That means you can now vote for your favorite drama, actor and actress of 2014.
The poll officially started on Dec. 14 and will run through the 27th. Here are the preliminary results:
"You Who Came From The Stars" is in the lead with 29.46 percent of the vote. The drama, which starred Kim Soo Hyun as a 400-year-old alien and Jun Ji Hyun as the Hallyu star he was destined to love, was a hit throughout Asia, generating average ratings of over 24 percent.
It's in the lead but winning is not a given.
Very close behind is the drama "Pinocchio," which stars the two popular actors Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk. She plays a reporter who cannot tell a lie. He plays a man living a lie. That drama earned 28.16 percent of the vote, which makes it a contender for first place.
In third place was "It's Okay, It's Love," which starred Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung. She played a psychiatrist and his character was delusional. They were perfect for each other. That drama scored 11.62 percent, landing it in third place.
"Nigh Watchman's Journal," starring Jung Il Woo, came in fourth with 7.9 percent, while "Emergency Couple," starring Choi Jin Woo and Song Ji Hyo, came in fifth with 5.58 percent.
Kim Soo Hyun currently leads the Best Actor category, with an impressive 36.81 percent of the vote. Lee Jong Suk, who this year also played a North Korean defector doctor in "Doctor Stranger," earned 24.15 percent, putting him in second place. CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa landed in third place with 9.86 percent of the vote for his role in the Korean adaptation of "The Three Musketeers."
Jo In Sung landed in fourth place with 7.77 percent of the vote, while Choi Jin Hyuk had fifth place with 6.91 percent of the vote. It was a busy year for Choi Jin Hyuk, who also appeared in "Fated To Love You" and "Pride and Prejudice."
The Best Actress frontrunner is Park Shin Hye. The actress holds first place with 30.59 percent of the vote. The "Pinocchio" star is way ahead of the competition. She's followed by Jun Ji Hyun at only 18.73 percent and Gu Hye Sun at 13.74 for her role in "Angel Eyes."
Song Ji Hyo won fourth place with 10.51 percent for her role as the divorced doctor in "Emergency Couple," while Gong Hyo Jin had fifth place with a score of 6.56 percent.
But it's still early and the order can change overnight. Anything is possible.
