Kim Jung Hwa confessed that she was an outcast in middle school.
During a press conference for the new MBC mini-drama 'Ugly Cake' on October 17th, Kim Jung Hwa talked about memories she thought about when filming her drama.
When she was asked if she was ever bullied she said, "I was an outcast in middle school. However, it wasn't as bad as it is in this drama. When I went to school, my friends didn't speak to me or eat with me.
She continued, "I wondered why they did that. Then as few days went by, and they came up to me and said, 'I'm sorry. Let's try to get along again,' and everything was fine. However, that experience left a scar on my heart. Now that I think about it, I think everybody was just sensitive because of puberty."
'Ugly Cake' is a two-episode special about bullying and violence. The drama will air on the 24th and 25th at 9:55PM KST.
