Interview

It seems like this will be the year of the Aussies as two new faces headline the remake of "Point Break", which is scheduled for release on July 31, 2015. Luke Bracey and Teresa Palmer join the cast, which includes Edgar Ramirez, Ray Winstone, and Delroy Lindo.

The 1991 cult classic film was probably the breakthrough movie of Keanu Reeves, who starred as Johnny Utah. Taking over such a big role could have put a lot of pressure on the 25-year old Aussie actor. Luke Bracey is one of the fastest rising actors in Hollywood today so getting the lead role in this movie is a big break for him. However, a comparison between the original film and the remake is unavoidable.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Sydney-born screen heartthrob revealed how he prepared for the filming of the "Point Break" remake. He said, "When I got the email saying they were looking at me and a couple of other guys for the role, my first instinct was that 'I have to get this. No one else can get this.' I know this guy so well and I love the original so much."

"The Best of Me" actor confessed, "I've never worked so hard on anything in my life as for the preparation and filming of this movie. I am giving it everything I've got. It's a five-month shoot. I'm going to leave nothing on the path, and when I get to the end of it, I've got to be able to look myself in the mirror and know that I gave it everything I've got."

In the 1991 film, there wasn't any female lead role so they may have added some romantic twist to the reboot. Teresa Palmer stars as Tyler Endicott in "Point Break" remake, but not much was revealed about her character. The 28-year old actress got married to director Mark Webber in 2013 and gave birth to their first baby in 2014.

During an interview with Sunday Style, the "Warm Bodies" star revealed that she had to take her hubby and baby along with her during filming. She said, "The whole brood together. That was one of the conditions in going back to work (after Bodhi). They've been very gracious and open to that here on Point Break."

Do you think these Aussie superstars would help bring success to "Point Break" remake?
