News about Katy Perry dating John Mayer is circulating after the "Roar" singer was seen on a romantic dinner date with the "Say" hitmaker. The outing sparked rumors that the two are back together again after their break-up last year.

According to a report from Page Six, the 30-year-old singer spent the night having dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles with her ex-boyfriend John Mayer.

A source told, "Katy Perry and John Mayer walked in together, arm in arm, and the whole room literally fell silent."

"Even Dimitri Dimitrov - Hollywood's most famous maitre d', who has seen everything - and Sunset Tower owner Jeff Klein both stopped mid-sentence when John and Katy arrived, as if they wanted to announce to everyone in Hollywood they are back together," the publication's insider also added.

The report also claimed that the posh restaurant has been their favorite hang-out spot ever since they started dating.

Star previously spotted at the restaurant included Scarlett Johansson and Reese Witherspoon, Naomi Campbell and Lee Daniels, Clint Eastwood, and Dita Von Teese.

The rumors about Katy Perry dating John Mayer again first started when they were recently spotted having a meal at a friend's home. They then left to go to the "Roar" singer's mansion.

John Mayer was said to have stayed at Katy Perry's home until afternoon of the following day, The Daily Mail said.

Before their split, Katy Perry began dating John Mayer in 2012 but they called it quits in March last year, Hollywood Life said.

"The One That Got Away" singer, whose ex husband is Russell Brand, also dated DJ Diplo and Riff Raff after her split with John Mayer.

Late last year, the singer was also linked with "The Rover" actor Robert Pattinson but rumors died down after reports claimed that they are just friends.
