In a video shared by Vin Diesel on his Facebook page, the actor talked to director James Gunn about his character Groot. Read on for more "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" news!

In the candid interview clip, Gunn talked about how Diesel gave life to the lovable tree-like character when he lent his voice to Groot's "I am Groot" dialogues.

The "Fast And Furious" star also thanked the director for allowing him to explore the "rich nuances" of Groot's character even with a one-line restriction.

Diesel believes that Groot was "highly intelligent being," citing conversations with Rocket The Raccoon as proof. The genetically modified animal responded to the tree character's "I am Groots" with complete thoughts and sentences, as if he could read between his one-sentence lines.

Whenever Groot and Rocket interact with each other, their high intelligence becomes more apparent.

As for previous "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2" news, Gunn was planning to expand the galaxy of the five misfits to include more character. He also previously promised to bring all five main characters back for the sequel.

"James Gunn stated that he will be expanding the roster as well as the "galaxy" next time in an effort to top himself," The Inquisitr noted.

One of the characters to include will reportedly be Dax The Destroyer's (Dave Bautista) daughter, Moondragon. The Helmer previously shared his wish to have at least two female characters in the sequel.

Peter Quill's (Chris Pratt) father could also be making his appearance in "Guardians Of The Galaxy 2."

Gunn did, however, share his desire to make changes from the comic book canon.

As to whether characters from other Marvel superhero movies will be making an appearance in the next "Guardians" movie is still under contention.

Do you think Gunn should add more characters to the "Guardians" team? Would a crossover film or a random guest appearance from the other Marvel worlds improve the sequel or destroy it?
