See The Oscars 2015 Best Supporting Actor List Here! Is J.K. Simmons A Shoo-In For The Prestigious Award?

There may be five nominees for the Oscars 2015 Best Supporting Actor list, but J.K. Simmons has quickly become the favorite to bring home the Academy Award trophy.

Indiewire believes that the "Spiderman" star should win the award for his crazed character in "Whiplash." The 60-year-old actor already won the same distinction during the Golden Globes 2015 awards night.

However, Simmons is up for some competition as well.

Academy Award winner, Robert Duvall is nominated for his performance in "The Judge." Ethan Hawke is also in the list for "Boyhood," while Edward Norton is representing "Birdman." Mark Rufallo is also nominated for "Foxcatcher."

Meanwhile, Indiewire thinks Josh Brolin from "Inherent Vice" should also be on the list.

The winners for the Oscars 2015 Best Supporting Actor, Best Actor, Best Actress as well as all the other categories will be announced on Feb. 22.
