Nathan Kress' roommate dog is now shining in the social media as it  gathered thousands of likes after its debut. Rumors also have it that the "iCarly" star got the new pet so he could move on from a heartbreak.

The 22-year-old actor, who also starred in "Into The Storm," welcomed his new year by introducing his new dog roommate via Twitter.

In a report from Inquisitr, Nathan Kress' roommate has gathered over 13,500 likes already after describing his new buddy as a "bit of a party animal."

"New roommate. He's a bit of a party animal, but he had great references," he said in his Twitter account.

The report also noted that Nathan Kress' roommate seemed happy as the dog get to share the spotlight with his actor friend. The pet instantly became famous through the flood likes.

The photo was also shared in Nathen Kress' Twitter account where fans of the "Into The Storm" immediately gave names for the cute little dog.

Meanwhile, reports emerged that Nathan Kress acquired the dog as his way to catch the attention of his co-star Miranda Cosgrove, who also has a dog.

Rumors said that Nathan Kress got a similar pet to what Miranda Cosgrove has, a puppy named "Penelope."

The reports also claimed that Nathan Kress' new dog roommate might be to patch his broken heart.

In one of his tweet, the young actor posted what seemed like his new year's resolution.

"First life lesson of 2015. Psyched for more of these, but my resolution is to stop having to learn em the hard way," he said.
