After portraying a brainy teen witch for Warner Brothers' "Harry Potter" franchise, Emma Watson will now become a Disney princess!

The 24-year-old British actress announced her new role as Belle for the movie studio's newest classic cartoon live action remake project, "Beauty And The Beast" via her official Facebook account.

E! Online already approves of this casting news, pointing out that the Brown graduate bears similarities to the sassy Belle.

Which other actresses did Disney cast for their other fairy tale reboots?

The upcoming Kenneth Branagh-directed remake of "Cinderella" has "Downton Abbey" star Lily James as the rags-to-riches princess Ella, while Anna Kendrick played the same character in the Christmas-released musical film by Tim Burton, "Into The Woods."

Last year, Dakota Fanning's little sister, Elle, portrayed Aurora in "Maleficent." They certainly took "Sleeping Beauty" to a whole new level with the Angelina Jolie-starred film.

We also saw Mia Wasikowska playing a slightly grown up Alice in another Burton movie, "Alice In Wonderland."
