'Yawang' Actress Kim Sung Ryung 'Yunho and I Text Each Other At Least Once a Day'
During an interview with actress Kim Sung Ryung, she revealed her close relationship with co-star of the SBS drama "Yawang" Yunho.
Today (January 9), actress Kim Sung Ryung appeared at the SBS office building in Seoul for the production sneak preview of the new drama "Yawang." During the interview at the event, actress Kim Sung Ryung revealed her close relationship with co-star and idol Yunho of TVXQ.
At the sneak preview event, actors Kwon Sangwoo, Soo Ae, Kim Sung Ryung, Yunho, Ko Joonhee, and Park Min Ha were present.
Kim Sung Ryung was asked how she was able to get close to Yunho, to which she responded, "Honestly, I asked for his number" and laughed.
Kim Sung Ryung continued, "After I got his number, I couldn't call because it would have been so embarrassing. So I just resorted to texting him wishing him a happy new year." And "First he called me 'nuna' but it was so weird at first but I thought he was very cute for trying to be friendly so I replied with a long text."
Kim Sung Ryung explained, "The long text was about how I want to build a good relationship with him in order to create a realistic brother-sister relationship in the drama. It was kind of difficult because Yunho is an idol star but he was very understanding when I sent him the text about working together."
Kim Sung Ryung added, "But there was no reply. I asked people for advice about what to do because Yunho didn't reply but I got a response a few hours later. Yunho even called me the next day. Since then, Yunho and I text each other at least once a day."
She concluded by stating, "There is something about the text messages that is very encouraging. Even when we see each other on the set it's like seeing my real brother so I want to take care of him. Texting definitely helped us in terms of acting." Kim Sung Ryung then directed her speech at Yunho while saying, "I'll just do it until the filming ends" and brought laughter at the event.
In "Yawang," Kim Sung Ryung plays the role of Baek Do Kyung and Yunho plays the role of her little brother Baek Do Hoon.
The SBS drama "Yawang" features a story about a man who dedicates his life to getting revenge on a woman who leaves him to become a first lady.
