Gina Carano Hit The Gym With Former Bellator MMA Champion Zoila Frausto; Henry Cavill’s Former Girlfriend Prepping For MMA Return?
Gina Carano is hitting the gym again, this time with former Bellator MMA champion Zoila Frausto. Frausto reposted Jennifer Ferguson's Instagram photo of showing the training session at Combat Sports Academy in Dublin, California. Is this hinting something for Henry Cavill's former girlfriend?
According to MMA Junkie, Frausto is planning a comeback to MMA this year while the former "Strikeforce" star's plan is yet to be confirmed.
Scifighting.com reported that Gina Carano has not stepped into the cage since her loss to Cristinae "Cyborg" Justino in 2009. Albeit, Henry Cavill's former girlfriend remained as "one of the first big stars of the women's mixed martial arts circuit." In fact, Ronda Rousey has publicly declared that a match with Carano is "something that she has wanted since the first time she laid eyes on the sport."
"The first women's MMA fight I ever saw was Gina Carano vs. Julie Kedzie," Rousey said of a famous 2007 bout in a report by Yahoo Sports June of last year. "Not only did I admire what [Carano] was doing, but also I was blown away by the reaction all the guys were giving them, and, I just remember sitting there and thinking, 'I could totally beat both of these chicks.' Whether she ever wants to fight again or not is entirely up to her. But, ever since that day when I had that first taste of women's MMA, she's the fight I wanted."
Gina Carano' return in the MMA cage has been a hot topic in 2014. At first, UFC President Dana White had been confident about inking Henry Cavill's former girlfriend in a deal, however, previous reports noted that the contract talks have stalled.
It can be remembered that UFC President Dana White has been pissed off in negotiating with the former EliteXC fighter calling her the "hardest human being we've ever dealt with. In a previous report from Fox Sports, Dana White said he's not holding any personal grudges with Gina Carano but he believes Henry Cavill's former girlfriend is allowing her managers to handle the negotiations which made her return to UFC a difficult one.
