‘The Originals’ Season 2: Will Freya Be Another Baddie? Hope Saves Cammie’s Life While Kol’s Slowly Disintegrates

Freya (Riley Voelkel) finally appeared again during last Monday's "The Originals" season 2 episode.

However, she chose to help out her crazed brother Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) in locating Klaus' daughter Hope instead of visiting the Mikaelson's home at the Quarter. Will she become the next villain?

Fans figured out what happened to the eldest Mikaelson after being pried away from her mother's arms as a child. According to the thousand-year-old witch, their Aunt Dahlia (who was still very much alive) cursed her to sleep for a hundred years and wake up for a year to keep herself alive.

After finding out that there was another first born Mikaelson hidden somewhere, Freya helped her brother out in locating Hope.

That proved to be Finn's downfall, however. Underestimating Elijah's (Daniel Gillies) loyalty to the family, the enraged witch didn't imagine his own brother to blow the both of them up just to protect Hope.

Meanwhile, it seems that Hope is already showing her powers - healing herself after getting cut on her head and completely stopping Cammie's (Leah Pipes) car just as Elijah blew up the house.

"There's something special [about Hope]," executive producer Julie Plec previously shared.

"She is a little bit vampire, a little bit werewolf, a little bit witch, so what is she capable of and how will that be explored on our show is stuff that we want to play with and you will see some advancement in that plot in these first batch of episodes," Michael Narducci also added.

Is this the beginning to Hope's "unstoppable" power?

On the other hand, Kol (Daniel Sharman) sacrificed his weakening body to help sever Finn's connection to their parents. This also gets him into Klaus' good graces. With his cursed body already dying, will he be able to redeem himself to his siblings?

Past spoilers indicate that a Mikaelson sibling will die. With Kol's seemingly solution-less predicament last episode, it seems that he will be the one to be (permanently) killed off first. Unless, of course, Freya steps in to save him.
