Motorola announced Moto G devices will soon see the Lollipop 5.0 updates in the upcoming weeks.

Citing Google's announcement last year, the company would start rolling its Android Lollipop updates as numerous smartphone makers began to promise its users that the update would be available on their devices as soon as possible. Motorola too made such promise to its smartphone users.

Motorola's Moto G fell behind as Android Lollipop 5.0 updates began to be implemented on many phones. According to JBGNews, the latest Moto G versions began to see the Android Lollipop updates earlier this year, however, the updates somehow got delayed. Finally, the telecommunication giant has announced that its remaining Moto G devices, as well as the original Moto G, will receive the upgrade very soon. Although the original Moto G did receive the update in other regions, including India, those in the United States remained to be outdated.

According to 9To5Google, users of the device are reporting that they have received a pop-up message on their device regarding a future update.

According to the pop-up message, Motorola is preparing the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for its smartphone users, who need to ensure that they have the latest version of Motorola Update Services by selecting "More Information." It warns the users that they will not receive the Lollipop upgrade notice if the step is incomplete.

As Motorola continues to only offer the vague "upcoming weeks" timetable for the Moto G Lollipop update, numerous Motorola devices have already started receiving their Lollipop updates.

This implies that the update can be expected to hit users sooner rather than later.
