'Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers: Glenn Rhee's Death Confirmed By Robert Kirkman? Andrew Lincoln Teases New Villain And Last Four Episodes Leaked Online!
It looks like new updates and possible spoilers for AMC's "The Walking Dead" season 5 have been revealed regarding a major character's death, a new villain and leaked synopsis of the last four episodes in the show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new villain will be introduced in season 5 of "The Walking Dead" as the website revealed that Negan could be the next "bad guy" in the series.
Andrew Lincoln commented that Rick's group will encounter "some intriguing people" as the series pushes into its Alexandria storyline.
"There are astonishingly brilliant and thrilling characters that I am convinced we would be idiots not to meet in our journey; I would be very surprised if we don't see Negan on the horizon in the not-too-distant future," Lincoln told THR. "What struck me, that I've always been excited about, is we're coming into the sixth season of this show ... and it's the medieval part of The Walking Dead comic, where you realize that there are these isolated communities but don't really know other ones exist."
"That is almost a reimagining and a restart for society and humanity. And that is such a rich thing to tell," Lincoln says.
"The Walking Dead" showrunner Scott M. Gimple told THR that character could be "challenging" in the show.
"It's such a story turn in the comic," Gimple told THR. "There's a particular story in that arc that I'm very excited for. But because we know where we're going, we have some opportunities to play around with it and put some things in that will lead up to [Negan and Alexandria] in different ways yet fulfill the story Robert told to the Nth degree by utilizing some slightly different approaches. Lineups and timelines and the whole 9 yards."
Meanwhile, another rumor has been making rounds that Steven Yuen's character Glenn Rhee will likely die in the show.
The Latin Post reported last year that "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman hinted that Rhee will die a very gruesome death similar as to how his comic book counter-part was killed.
But Glenn isn't the only one being rumored for death as the Inquistr reports that Maggie, Sasha, Michone, Rosita and Abraham are also the likely candidates to die in season 5.
Norman Reedus also teased fans that the season finale is going to be a big one and will leave some viewers in tears, while others will scream at their TV sets during an interview with ET.
AMC's zombie drama TV series will only have three episodes left, as International Business Times reports that the synopsis of each episode has been leaked online.
Episode 13 titled "Forget" - Rick and the rest of the group are struggling to adjust to the Alexandria Safe-Zone where they were led to in the previous episode. Tensions soar as they try to fit into the new community's lifestyle.
Episode 14 "Spend" - Will see the group facing additional challenges in Alexandria, leading them to question whether remaining in their new home is a good idea, or whether it would be preferable to be outside facing the danger of walker attack instead.
Episode 15 "Try" - Will see how community life within Alexandria has started to resemble life outside, and Rick and the rest of the crew have just dawned upon the realisation that Alexandria is not the sheltered Safe-Zone everyone expects it to be.The danger of walker infiltration looms, and viewers may just get to see whether the group decides to stay inside and help defend Alexandria, or bail out on the community.
Season 5 finale, episode 16 "Conquer" - This 90-minute finale extravaganza will feature Daryl getting into grave danger while on the run, and the rest of the group feel like outsiders as they struggle to adjust to the walled Camp Alexandria.
