'The Disappearance Of Nagato Yuki-Chan' News: New Key Visual Art And Character Sketches Revealed Online [PHOTOS] Will The Anime Spin Off Set Up 'Haruhi Suzumiya' Season 3?

It looks like new updates for the Haruhi Suzumiya anime spin off "The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan" have been revealed regarding new anime photos and a possible season 3 of the anime show.

According to AnimeNewsNetwork, "The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan" official website posted a new key visual image of the anime spin off, featuring its beloved characters Yuki Nagato, Kyon, Haruhi Suzumiya, Mikuru Asahina, Itsuki Koizumi, Ryouko Asakura, and Tsuruya.

Crunchyroll (via KpopsStarz) has also posted several art sketches of each character in the anime.

It was previously reported that the "Haruhi Suzumiya" spin off will take place in an alternate world where Haruhi Suzumiya never founded the S.O.S. Brigade and that Yuki, Mikuru, and Koizumi are just regular highschool students rather than extra ordinary beings

"This spin-off of the Haruhi Suzumiya series takes place in the world of the "Disappearance" arc of the original novels, focusing on the high school life (and romance!) of a tentative and bashful Yuki Nagato quite unlike the one you've come to know and love through the usual exploits of the SOS Brigade... but no less charming!" according to Japanese publisher Yen Press.

Crunchyroll reports that the original voice-actors of the Haruhi Suzumiya anime will make a comeback in the spin- off such as Minori Chihara as Yuki Nagato, Aya Hirano as Haruhi Suzumiya, Tomokazu Sugita as Kyon, Natsuko Kuwatani as Ryouko Asakura, Yuko Goto as Mikuru Asahina and Daisuke Ono as Itsuki Koizumi.

Jun’ichi Wada will direct the series based on scripts by Touko Machida with Satelight handling the animation and Takeish Yasuda for the overall planning. Ikuko Ito will draw the character designs, while Kenichi Tajiri will provide the art direction. Lantis is handling the music based on the original composition of Tatsuya Katou, Fandom Post reported.

With "The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan in the works, will there be a season 3 of the anime show?

It was rumored last year that the spin-off itself is the season 3 of the Haruhi Suzumiya anime, but it is unlikely since the whole show is focused on Yuki Nagato and not Haruhi Suzumiya. However, fans are still hopeful that a season 3 of the show could be possible since the popularity of the manga/anime series has already been established.

Nagaru Tanigawa's light novel series has been a huge success, not only in Asia but around the world. It was Kyoto animation who produced the anime TV series way back in April 2-July 2 of 2006 and was rebroadcast from April 3-Oct. 9, 2009. It also spawned a spin-off, "The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya" and an anime film, "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya."

"The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan" anime will premier on April 3, 2015 in Tokyo MX at 1:40 a.m.
