The character of Oh Ri Jin was not the only one that cried when Cha Do Hyun said goodbye to the personalities that fractured his heart.

Viewers also shed a few tears as each of Ji Sung's personalities took their leave.

Spoiler alert: And in the final episodes of "Kill Me, Heal Me" each of the extra personalities found some peace and departed.

Perry Park took his leave when he came to terms with the contradiction that his hateful father had also once been a good father to him. Oh Ri Jin, played by Hwang Jung Eum, gave him a fishing rod and a boat, so he could sail off into his happy dreams.

Ahn Yo Na, the most difficult of all of Ji Sung's personalities, took the most convincing. After she received a gift and a chance to kiss her "oppa" Omega, played by Seo Park Joon, she thanked Oh Ri Jin for being her only female friend and for giving her someone to fight with. Oh Ri Jin cried and not just because Ahn Yo Na scribbled a parting insult on her forehead. Ahn Yo Sub left reciting a poem. And NaNa, who was really Oh Ri Jin as a child, departed after Oh Ri Jin assured her that she would grow up happy and loved. She no longer had to be the child locked in the basement.

The most recently revealed personality Mr. X, showed Cha Do Hyun that there was nothing to fear but fear itself. And once Cha Do Hyun vowed to always protect Oh Ri Jin, his work was done.

Shin Se Gi was the last of Cha Do Hyun's splintered personalities to leave. It was not his father's awakening and apology that allowed him to go. Rather it was the fact that Oh Ri Jin considered him a person in his own right rather than just a personality. And the farewell gift she gave him was a kiss. He considered it the best present.

With that kiss, Shin Se Gi accepted the fact that he was part of Cha Do Hyun, although he vowed to reemerge, should he ever be needed. He also charged Cha Do Hyun with living his life boldly, in a way that Shin Se Gi would approve of.

Ji Sung's character was now an amalgamation of all his various personalities, taking the best from each and moving forward into the future.

Although this is what he needed to do to heal and create the best possible outcome for this drama, his personalities will be missed. And not just by Oh Ri Jin.
