'The Fault In Our Stars' Actor Ansel Elgort Opens Up About 'Platonic' Relationship With Shailene Woodley

"The Fault in Our Stars" actor Ansel Elgort claimed that he never saw Shailene Woodley as a potential romantic partner.

The 20-year-old actor graces the cover of Seventeen magazine where he opened up about the rumors he's dating his "Insugent" co-star.

"Me and Shailene have a really platonic relationship. I've never once wanted her sexually, which is nice, he said.

Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley starred as star-crossed lovers in "The Fault in our Stars" and as siblings in "Divergent."

This is why the actor can joke about Shailene Woodley like a brother ribbing a sister.

"Insurgent" star Ansel Elgort joked that he can sub in for Theo James during a kissing scene with Shailene Woodley. Meanwhile, the 20-year-old actor admitted that it was weird playing both lover and brother to his co-star in "The Fault In Our Stars"

"I asked Theo if it was alright [to kiss Shailene because] he wasn't feeling well," Ansel Elgort told reporters during the press tour for "Insurgent."

"I said, 'Listen, I've done it before,' and guys that do the visual effects in this movie are good, so they could have easily changed our bodies and it would have been cool," he quipped.

"The Fault in Our Stars" actor is currently dating Violetta Komyshan and he earlier gave some details about what he wants in a woman, according to E! News.

"I like strong women. Physical women. My dad photographed a lot of beautiful dancers. My mom was a dancer," he said. "I love when a girl is like, 'I can't hang out. I have to go to class.' And I go pick her up and she's all sweaty in a leotard with her hair in a bun. That's the hottest thing ever."

It's no coincidence therefore that Violetta Komyshan, the girlfriend of "The Fault in Our Stars" actor Ansel Elgort, is a ballerina.
