The "Resident Evil 2 HD Remake" is now allegedly in development now that Capcom has completed the development of "Resident Evil Revelations 2".

In a report by Michael Harradence of PSU, it has been allegedly confirmed that the "Resident Evil 2 HD Remake" development is going to start soon and that the "Resident Evil 2 HD Remake" release date is going to be on Q4 2016.

"Capcom is reportedly considering revamping Resident Evil 2 following the success of its high-definition re-release of the GameCube Resident Evil remake...development of a Resident Evil 2 remake could start as soon as work on Resident Evil: Revelations 2 wraps, with a release date falling somewhere in Q4 2016," wrote PSU.

In a previous report by Gamespot, it was said that Capcom has been reportedly considering making the "Resident Evil 2 HD remake" should there be fan support for the game.

"But if the fans really clamor for it; if there's a groundswell of support for remaking that game, then I think that's something Capcom would take under consideration," said Capcom Producer, Yoshiyaki Hirabayashi in 2012.

In our previous report, we noted that a fan of the game completed his own "Resident Evil 2 HD Remake" and his version of the "Resident Evil 2 HD Remake" can be seen on Youtube.

"Developer Rod Lima has completed his long-in-development project, and has now published a walkthrough video showing off his Unreal Engine 3 game," wrote Gamespot.

It should be noted that original "Resident Evil 2" dev, Hideki Kamiya is aware of Capcom's alleged plan of making a "Resident Evil 2 HD Remake" and has since commented on their plan by saying "Oh".
